Signature Care is a Not-for-profit organisation looking for a Full-time Maintenance Manager to lead our experienced maintenance team in Victoria. Our maintenance team is responsible for ensuring all preventative and reactive maintenance task are completed and up to date. This includes providing hands on assistance (where applicable) and limiting the need to engage contractors.

 

This role is Monday to Friday and will be supported by an experienced General Manager of Property and Property and Procurement Officer. You will oversee all Victorian sites including: Clyde, Langwarrin, Officer, Warragul, Whittington, Grovedale and Romsey. You will be provided with a company vehicle to accommodate regular travel to sites.

About YOU:

  • Experience in building maintenance
  • Experience managing a team
  • Trade Qualification e.g. A Grade Electrician OR qualified Plumber (including TMV work)
  • Aged care experience is desirable
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence
  • Thorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs i.e. OH&S & Fire/Evacuation
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment
  • Willingness to contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time
  • Excellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues
  • Previous experience working autonomously with limited direction
  • Be able to make decisions about costs and priorities and documenting a full plan for work to be completed
